oil on linen canvas | 81x60cm
The vision for this artwork comes from my urge of connecting with nature. The center of the artwork is the enormous heart which symbolizes all human beings life source, which is nature itself. By creating the contrast of artificial and nature, I want to show the contradiction of the modern human with his own roots.

TIRESIAS FORESEEING

oil on linen canvas | 46x61cm
Tiresias, a revered blind prophet from Greek mythology, was known for his extraordinary gift of foresight. Bestowed by the gods, his ability allowed him to glimpse the threads of fate and divine the future. Though sightless, Tiresias "saw" more clearly than others, interpreting omens, dreams, and nature's signs, such as the flight and song of birds. His wisdom and prophecies often served as crucial guidance in the mythological tales of figures like Oedipus and Odysseus, blending divine insight with a profound understanding of human destiny.
This piece is part of the show art of lore @poetictigergallery in January 2025.

CASSANDRAS FORESEEING
oil on linen canvas | 46x61cm
oil on linen canvas | 46x61cm
I created a character - inspired by the tragedy of Aeschylus - whose name was Cassandra, the beautiful daughter of Priam, the last king of Troy. She was given the power of prophecy by Apollo who was in love with her, under the condition that she would comply with his desires. Once she had the power she refused his favours and he revenged himself by ordaining that her prophecies should never be believed, even not when Cassandra predicted the fall of Troy…
